Austin developer wraps up sleek new townhouses in South Austin Sep 28, 2015 – Jan Buchholz, Austin Business Journal Infill residential projects are some of the most challenging for developers, but that doesn't deter Austin developer Robert Lee. His company Land Development and Construction LLC just finished eight units at 2002 Glen Allen St. near the Broken Spoke dance hall on South Lamar Boulevard. "Many people want to buy new construction, yet want mature trees and traditional neighborhoods not found in the suburbs," Lee said. "These kinds of infill projects are some of my favorite types of housing projects to build." At dusk, the townhouses at 2002 Glen Allen St. light up the neighborhood. The two-bedroom, multifloor units are situated on a half acre that is punctuated by statuesque oak trees. Unit sizes range from 1,667 square feet to 1,858 square feet. St. Elmo mixed-use project in full swing; developers, details revealed Sep 21, 2015 – Jan Buchholz, Austin Business Journal The transformation of 12 acres of South Austin into a trendy mixed-use project dubbed "Saint Elmo" is gaining traction with notable real estate companies coming on board. Prescott Group in Dallas is joining master developer GroundFloor Development to create a public market, entertainment venue, creative offices, condominiums and a boutique hotel. The first significant design schematics have been delivered by Andersson-Wise Architects, which designed the W Hotel & Residences along with ACL Live at the Moody Theater.
